A Christmas story for Noah

Here is how a story called "Noah and the Puzzled Toy Train" might begin:

Noah’s big, noisy family house was, as always on Christmas Eve, a joyous whirlwind of wrapping paper, carols, and delicious smells. He was attempting to build a magnificent block tower in a quiet corner, when a low, sustained hum began to emanate from beneath the towering, fully decorated Christmas tree. It wasn't the twinkling lights, nor the festive music. It sounded like a tiny engine, sputtering faintly, almost apologetically. Peering through the dense branches, Noah spotted a small, intricately built wooden toy train, no bigger than his hand, its tiny smokestack puffing miniature, shimmering golden dust, struggling to pull a single, empty car.

What happens next? Noah discovers a tiny, magical train under the Christmas tree, struggling with an empty car that hints at an impending Christmas Eve problem.
