A Christmas story for Leilani

Here is how a story called "Leilani and the Lost Sleigh Bell" might begin:

The snow fell in soft, fat flakes, blanketing Leilani’s farmhouse in a thick, shimmering quilt. Inside, the fire crackled a cozy tune, and the smell of gingerbread lingered from earlier baking. Leilani, nestled by the window with a warm mug of cocoa, watched the world transform into a winter wonderland. Suddenly, a flicker of red caught her eye – a small, velvet pouch, partially buried in a drift near the old oak tree. It shimmered with an unusual, almost magical light, clearly dropped by someone in a hurry.

What happens next? Leilani, curious about the mysterious pouch, discovered a tiny, shimmering bell inside that hummed with a faint, urgent melody.
