A Christmas story for Ella

Here is how a story called "Ella and the Mini Scroll" might begin:

Ella's city apartment felt like a cozy little nest, even with the hum of the metropolis outside. Her tiny Christmas tree, adorned with homemade popcorn garlands, cast cheerful shadows. As she reached to straighten a slightly crooked star on top, she noticed a faint, almost invisible shimmer around it, like heat haze on a summer road. Then, from the branch just below, a single, miniature scroll, no bigger than her pinky finger, unfurled itself. Written in tiny, elegant script, it simply read: “URGENT. Top of the tallest building. The light is dimming.”

What happens next? Ella will follow the tiny scroll’s cryptic message to discover a crucial problem high above the city.
