A Christmas story for Elijah

Here is how a story called "Elijah and the Hidden Map" might begin:

Elijah’s tiny apartment Christmas tree, no bigger than his arm, shimmered with fairy lights, casting cheerful patterns on the walls. He sat cross-legged on the rug, carefully arranging his favorite ornament – a miniature, chipped reindeer with one antler – when he noticed it. Tucked beneath a branch, a crumpled, glittery piece of paper. It wasn't a gift tag, nor a stray piece of tinsel. Unfurling it, Elijah saw neat, looping handwriting: a list of names, and then, scrawled messily at the bottom, 'LOST: NORTH POLE ROUTE MAP. URGENT!'

What happens next? Elijah realizes this isn't just any lost paper, but a crucial map for a very important journey.
