A Christmas story for Sophia

Here is how a story called "Sophia and the Whirling Wish" might begin:

The aroma of gingerbread and cinnamon hung thick in Sophia's bustling family bakery, even on Christmas Eve. Flour dusted every surface, and the clatter of cookie sheets was a familiar rhythm. Sophia, meticulously piping frosting onto sugarplum pastries, felt a sudden, odd chill despite the warm ovens. A gust of wind, stronger than any she'd felt that night, swept through the slightly ajar back door, scattering a pile of carefully written order forms. But one thin, elegant sheet of paper, distinctly different, whirled past her, caught in the updraft, and sailed out into the snowy alley.

What happens next? Sophia, recognizing the unique parchment, rushes out into the blustery night, realizing this isn't just any lost order but a crucial Christmas request.
