A Christmas story for Sebastian

Here is how a story called "Sebastian and the Whispering Box" might begin:

The quiet house at the end of the lane was Sebastian’s favorite place on Christmas Eve. Snow fell in soft, silent whispers outside his window, blanketing the garden in white. He was finishing a careful drawing of a magnificent reindeer when a sudden, insistent scratching began at the back door. It wasn't a cat, nor a dog. When he peeked through the frosted glass, a small, intricate wooden box, carved with delicate snowflakes, sat on the doormat. As he carefully lifted the lid, a tiny, perfectly tied red ribbon fluttered out, carrying a faint, spicy scent.

What happens next? Sebastian discovers a mysterious package that hints at a peculiar, and urgent, Christmas request.
