A Christmas story for Luna

Here is how a story called "Luna and the Snow-Kissed Scroll" might begin:

At the very end of the lane, Luna's quiet house was bathed in the gentle glow of snow-covered evergreens. The air was still and hushed, almost holding its breath for Christmas. Luna, nestled by the window, watched a single, enormous snowflake drift slowly past, then another, until the world outside was a swirling ballet of white. But as she watched, something dark and distinct separated from the flurry, landing with a soft *thump* on the window ledge. It wasn't a branch, nor a bird. It was a small, perfectly folded parchment, tied with a silver thread.

What happens next? Luna carefully opens the mysterious parchment, discovering it holds an urgent plea for help from an unexpected source.
