A Christmas story for Aaron

Here is how a story called "Aaron and the Singing Cookie" might begin:

The bakery was a fragrant wonderland of cinnamon, sugar, and warm bread. Aaron, usually bustling about, was now watching the last Christmas cookies cool, the clinking of trays the only sound in the quiet shop. A gust of wind rattled the front door, and a single, frost-kissed gingerbread man, meant for the display, tumbled from the shelf. As Aaron picked it up, he noticed a tiny, almost invisible crack on its gingerbread chest, and from the crack, a faint, sweet melody seemed to drift, like a distant, tiny bell. It was the tune of a forgotten carol, growing fainter by the second.

What happens next? Aaron realizes the broken gingerbread man holds a magical tune, crucial for Christmas Eve's magic.
