A Christmas story for Angel

Here is how a story called "Angel and the Clock's Secret Message" might begin:

At the quiet house at the end of the lane, a peaceful silence had settled. Angel, snuggled in his armchair, was watching the snow fall softly outside, painting the world in shades of white and gray. The only sound was the gentle tick-tock of the old grandfather clock in the hall. Suddenly, a soft, insistent scratching came from the clock itself, not like mice, but a rhythmic, deliberate tapping. Angel, curious, tiptoed over. The clock’s glass door, usually shut tight, was slightly ajar. And tucked inside, where the pendulum swung, was a small, rolled-up parchment, tied with a thin, silver string, bearing a single, intricate wax seal depicting a winged, star-nosed creature.

What happens next? Angel soon realizes this ancient parchment holds a desperate plea for help from a magical, hidden world.
